Welcome to the form for the Editor Connection Program (ECP) for the 2025 Atlanta Writers Club Self-Publishing Conference.
Program Pricing: $25 to $200 (plus payment processing fee).
This program connects authors looking for editors with editors looking for new clients.
It provides an opportunity for attendees to get a sense of what working with an editor is like in the hopes that they will see the value in hiring a professional for each of their projects.
By participating in this program, you are considered one of the ASPC's "Advertisers" (which is why our advertiser guidelines are included below).
HOW IT WORKS
Please note that any seasoned, professional editor around the country can participate in this program.
You do not need to be a resident of Atlanta or Georgia in order to participate.
You do not have to attend the conference as a vendor in order to participate.
Macro (developmental / substantive) and micro (line / copy) editors are both welcome to participate.
1. When a registrant signs up for the conference, they select the genre they write in and opt into the program (not every registrant will take advantage of the ECP).
2. Once they submit their registration form, they will automatically be added to specific editors' referral sheets (which will be assigned to you after you complete this form and pay your fee).
3. The registrant will also be sent an email alerting them that you will be contacting them shortly about their sample edit, including the kind of editing you provide, your name, and your email address.
4. From that point, you treat the registrant as you would any other prospective client who you would be doing a free sample edit for.

REGISTER NOW
1. Provide the requested information about your business, including what kind of free sample editing you'd like to provide and in which genres (you can pick up to two genres).
2. Submit your fee.
3. Await confirmation of your registration, which can take 1 - 2 calendar weeks in some cases. We will let you know if we need further information or have run into any problems with admitting you into the program.
AFTER REGISTRATION
Once you are confirmed:
1. We will announce your participation in the program across our social media profiles and attendee newsletter.
2. You will have a referral sheet created for you. All your referrals will be sent here automatically.
3. Once attendee registration opens, you will receive the email address and first name of registrants who are working on a project that fits your genre and who have opted-in to the Editor Connection Program. This will allow you to let them know how big of a sample edit you're willing to do (e.g., 2,500 words, 5,000 words, etc.).
Referrals are sent as people register for the program in real time. This means there is no set schedule on which you will receive new referrals (every Tuesday, the first of the month, etc.).
We recommend that you check you referral sheet at least once each week to see if any new registrants have been assigned to you (i.e. ,every Monday morning, every Tuesday and Friday night, etc.).
FORM COMPLETION
Please complete the form as fully and accurately as possible. Leaving out or not having information that we're looking for can lead to your registration confirmation being delayed if we have to contact you to ask further questions.
A payment processing fee will be calculated and added at checkout.
ADVERTISER GENERAL GUIDELINES
- Advertiser agrees to pay the sum of their selected options in full before any advertisements are placed.
- Advertiser agrees to only promote companies, products, or services they have the authority to promote.
- Advertiser agrees to behave in a safe, ethical, and legal manner with any attendees who contact them for services or products.
- Advertiser understands that they will not be provided any attendee contact information as part of their advertising purchase beyond a first name and email address. Attendees must voluntarily reach out to the Advertiser as they are comfortable doing so in order to provide any further identification details (last name, phone number, etc.).
- Advertiser shall indemnify AWC from all claims of loss or liability caused by Advertiser or Advertiser team members.
- Advertiser agrees to allow AWC to use (now and in the future) photographs and videos captured at ASPC or created to promote ASPC that may include Advertiser property and team members.
